SADC (Southern African Development Community) - its mission is " is to promote sustainable and equitable economic growth and socio-economic development through efficient, productive systems, deeper co-operation and integration...." There are 15 member states, including South Africa and Botswana.

ICIMOD- The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development - is a regional intergovernmental learning and knowledge sharing centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalayas – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan – and based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
REAAA - Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia - the association promotes the science and practice of road engineering and related professions in the Asia Pacific region through developing professional and commercial links within and between countries in the region.
SAARC- The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperationis an organisation of South Asian nations, which was established in 1985. Its eight members are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Latin America
SIECA- Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA). The Secretariat website has documents on highway design. Member countries of SICA include Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Domenican Republic.

International Transport Forum- The International Transport Forum at the OECD is an intergovernmental organisation with 54 member countries. It acts as a strategic think tank for transport policy and organises an Annual Summit of ministers.
